America and Immigration
Because of strong immigration in the former times the US Government interlinked immigration to certain conditions. Today, you have to bring the US advantages in order to be allowed to immigrate, for example bring a lot of money or be very well-trained in your job. Another possibility is the annual US greencard lottery, in which citizens of some countries can participate and win a greencard for the US. With the greencard, the winners are allowed to live and work in the United States, if they immigrate within one year after winning.
